Arisons has a large selection of sponge rubber profiles, which are available from stock for fast delivery. We manufacture the profiles from a closed-cell EPDM or Neoprene sponge rubber material. This ensures that you get an air as well as watertight material that is suitable for interior and exterior sealing applications. We stock sponge strip, plain and adhesive backed, extruded with skin on all four sides or slit from sheeting with skin top and bottom only.
EPDM sponge cord is manufactured from expanded Rubber. This closed-cell sponge material does not absorb water and is suitable for making a watertight seal on lockers, car boots, enclosures, and cabinets. Foam rubber seals is a versatile material that has excellent resistance to UV, air and ozone.
Half round cord is available in a range of sizes depending on the required application. The height of the seal is half of the base dimension. For example, a seal that measures 10mm across the base is 5mm high. As this product has a flat bottom, it can be bonded onto most clean flat surfaces.
Certification and Specifications
All Rubber gaskets must meet certain classes of ASTM C1619, depending on the specifications for a project. Generally, sanitary projects will require C1619 Class A (standard rubber) or B (oil-resistant rubber) and stormwater projects will reference C1619 Class C (standard) or D (oil-resistant).
